dreaming of travels in an ivory sweater

Hi Thursday + early morning bubble gum chewing.I'm parched by a toasty space heater.  For breakfast, strawberries blended with almond milk tempt my senses.  However, I'm far too content on my back to bust any move. For now, I'll stay calm beneath my blankets chewing strawberry bubblegum *

 Settled in my room, I imagine a holiday.  A gorgeous trip across riversides, passed mountain peaks, beyond the day dreams. I am tickling my brain with thoughts of  voyages.  I so desire to travel through nests of forests, grains of sand, architectural history, and of course, wild and uninhabited areas.  I want to wear my shiny boots with glitter-flecked eyes,  on board a plane and fly away.
I'd sail through the breadth of the ocean if  I could.        For the time being, I sleep, I brew coffee, I write stories, I hum songs.        My mind wanders through philosophy and politics. I'm tired and I'm yawning.        Soon I will walk beside skyscrapers, waters, and the picturesque meadows of the world.   I'll swim, gallop, dance and bury my bare feet into the mud of a summer.  Then I'll return home with good fortunes, and stories to tell. <<Peak into http://travelsomewhere.tumblr.com/ . . . .and you'll understand why my heart beats this way ..>>

  Yesterday, I see-sawed my way into Forever 21.  Soft cottons, peachy blouses, fabrics splashed with flowers, colorful gems, hanging lockets, alluring price tags. All of these treasures bewitched my paper money.

It was less than 20 minutes and my arms already weighed heavy with garments.  I walked into the change room, eagerly fitted myself,  and as with every trek to Forever 21, I spent another 20 minutes mediating what would come home with me.

Absolute delights.

For today, my drink is sleep and my bread is brooding.  After an unquiet and restless night,  I feel self-absorbed. My musings are drifting along shoreless rivers.   There are secrets nesting in my brain. I wonder how it happens. This sudden intense happening.  On Monday, my spirits were rested in acres and perches of happiness.  Come Thursday,  the atmosphere around me treads unsettled.   I blame it on my childish wish for eternal summer, and a wish for requited love.    The earth has it's endless beauty. It's a sad thing I can't reach it all.    

  My belief in wearing rose colored glasses keeps the frowns at bay. There are sweet melodies with delicate language calling my name.   I will listen to the saddest songs, read the most haunting prose, and gaze into the most heartbreaking poetry.  It is not a time of sorrow, but a time of self discovery.    I've always thought the language of sadness, and the creation of sad art to be the most inspirational and beautiful.   Paint me depressing, but somehow, someway, the sadness makes me happier.  For me to understand the fragility to every high spirit and the treasurable nature of every breath. It is these understandings that unbind me, and set me alive.

Now, I go off to brew my coffee, splash my sugar, and eat mixed berry crepes. Maybe clean my room, if my mother's lucky.... maybe snow-gaze... maybe bathe...maybe play with puppies.  we are delightfully free!
