Hi to the people who have been made by the sun, and made by the snow. Hi to the beautiful people.

I write to you, while bedridden, cradled by cushions and blankets made of feather.   The tradition of winter has brought me the fever.  When I'm not begging for lemon water, sneezing, or coughing, I'm sleeping and dreaming of places unknown.  Found in the swallow of cough medicine is a taste I'd rather forget, but like all things, it has it's own beauty.   The medicine brings me into drowsiness, and puts me into heavenly sleep. Alongside the fever, and the medicine, you'll find wild dreams.  This morning, I was dreaming of ballerinas wearing dresses embroidered in Mexican flowers. They were holding posters with signatures of people that I've love/loved. They carried their dresses through waterfalls, and rainbows with spirited care bears. I can remember many dreams during this sickness, but mostly, they are just too wild to share. 

For now, I sip on mushroom soup, ponder the meaning of my dreams, wish for better days, and send you pictures taken mid December, before the fever caught me, and put my body into aches.

I surely hope everyone's new year began better than mine.
